तो, ऐसे ईमेलों के बारे में सोच सोच कर अपनी रातें मत खराब करिए, और न ही ऐसे ईमेलों का जवाब दीजिए. ये तो बस आपको फिशिंग (आमतौर पर ऐसे ईमेल स्पैम छन्नी के जरिए छान दिए जाते हैं, मगर कुछेक तो छन्नी से बचकर आपके आवक-डब्बे में घुस ही आते हैं ) के जरिए फांसने की साजिशें हैं. आपसे कुछ ऐं-वैं पत्राचार कर कुछ-न-कुछ खर्चों की राशि वसूली जाएगी – जैसे कि प्लेन का टिकट इत्यादि का (ताकि आकर मिल लें!) और जहाँ आपको दो-पाँच लाख का चूना लगा कि ये खरगोश के सिर पर सींग (आजकल गधे हाईप्रोफ़ाइल हो गया है ना!, उनके उदाहरणों का फ़ैशन आउटऑफ फ़ैशन हो गया है,) की तरह ग़ायब हो जाएंगे.
ऐसे ईमेलों को बन पड़े तो एंटीफ़िशिंग.ऑर्ग को reportphishing एट antiphishing.org ईमेल पते पर संलग्न कर भेजें (यदि आप कोई ईमेल क्लाइंट प्रयोग करते हैं) या फिर वेब मेल से फारवर्ड करें. जैसे कि मैं करता हूं. क्योंकि, मुझे मालूम है, मेरी प्रोफ़ाइल की असलियत. मैं ब्रैड पिट या हृतिक रोशन जैसा नहीं हूं. कतई नहीं.
